The proper use of jargon is indispensable in law studies and research – having this reference guide in your pocket will facilitate complex translations that you will inevitably come across and ensures your usage of correct language through instant results. The benefits of this app, which features automatic updates and push notification support, are yours to enjoy, free of charge.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row top_margin=”0″ bottom_margin=”0″][vc_column][title type=”h2″ color=”#1e73be”]The Creators[/title][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row top_margin=”0″ bottom_margin=”0″][vc_column][vc_column_text css_animation=”bottom-to-top”]Work on the app started in 2015 by a group of students led by former President Deo Falzon and former VP of Academic Activities James Debono. A database of legal jargon was compiled and double checked. This database was then vetted by a leading translation firm (www.gts.com.mt) and also complies with the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) terminology.

Rather than resting on their laurels the ELSA Malta team continued to improve the application with new features including multi-lingual support under the new Project Leader, Liza-Marie Cassar.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1075″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1461847311876{padding-left: 10px !important;}”]

The results are delivered as the user types which ensures, very swift content delivery. The app database is also available offline however the app internal terminology automatically checks for an update to the term list when the device is online. This process is carried out automatically without the need of user intervention. The team behind the app is also constantly adding terms as soon as new resources are provided by our project partners.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]The app is now also accessible from any modern internet browser through app.elsa.org.mt and now features Maltese, English, Slovenian, French, Turkish, Romanian, Swedish, Spanish and Portuguese translation options.

The add a word feature has now been implemented in all app versions including the web app.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row top_margin=”0″ bottom_margin=”0″][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]When developing the app, compatibility with a wide-range of devices was our primary concern. We have managed to ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices across iOS and ANDROID platforms ranging from old devices running iOS 6 and ANDROID 2.3.3 till the most recent operating system updates. The app is also compatible with smartphones and tablets and supports landscape view on tablets as well.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”605″ img_size=”medium” onclick=”custom_link” img_link_target=”_blank” link=”http://www.gts.com.mt”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_cta h2=”You can now suggest words to our database!” h2_google_fonts=”font_family:Open%20Sans%3A300%2C300italic%2Cregular%2Citalic%2C600%2C600italic%2C700%2C700italic%2C800%2C800italic|font_style:600%20bold%20regular%3A600%3Anormal” h4=”Be part of the translation project” style=”3d” color=”blue” use_custom_fonts_h2=”true”]Download the app and use the Add a word function or just visit our web app on app.elsa.org.mt[/vc_cta][/vc_column][/vc_row]
